A Roman Catholic state integrated school for boys from Year 0 – Year 6 and girls from Year 0 – Year 8. The maximum roll of the school is 350 pupils. |
Established approximately 150 years ago and was staffed by Sisters of Mercy for 143 years. The last Sister of Mercy was the previous principal who retired in 1996. |
Situated on the southern edge of Auckland City, St. Joseph’s serves a wide geographic area from Penrose in the east, One Tree Hill in the north, Onehunga in the west and and a large area of Mangere across the Manukau Harbour to the south. |
Staff and students represent a rich variety of cultures including Maori, Samoan, Tongan, Filipino, Indian, Fijian, British/European, American and of course New Zealanders. |
