Last Sunday, 7th June 2026, the solemnity of Corpus Christi, our parish of Our Lady of Assumption was truly blessed as 22 young communicants received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. The celebration occurred in the parish’s church with the participation of the candidates’ parents, friends, believers inside and outside the parish. It was a beautiful and faith filled occasion, celebrated with great joy by their families, friends, and our parish family as we gathered to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for this precious milestone in their faith journey.
As the celebrant reminded in his homily, this special day is not the finish line but the beginning. To our parents and families, continue bringing your children to Mass each Sunday so that they may be continually nourished by Christ in the Eucharist and grow deeper in faith, hope, and love. The greatest gift we can give our children is to lead them to Jesus.
We congratulate all 22 of our First Holy Communion candidates and pray that they may always find strength, peace, and joy in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
